Hamilton County Engineer

William W. Brayshaw, P.E. - P.S.

Aftermath

In the months following the worst Ohio River flood in recorded history, the Engineer's Office undertook a massive bridge inspection program to determine the damage done to these structures by the raging waters.

The photographs of the structures themselves are of no interest to anyone, except the most obsessed bridge engineer (we do have a couple of those around here...).  But part of every inspection was to photograph the deck (the roadway part of a bridge).  The result is a peek into what the County roadway system looked like in the early part of the Twentieth Century.

The photos are divided into three geographical regions.  Users with slower connections will experience longer loading times due to the graphical nature of the material.
