Hamilton County adds $5 Million to Sewer Backup Program

Hamilton County has experienced extreme weather events that caused widespread residential flooding and damage to Hamilton County homes, and created conditions that endanger the health, safety and welfare of persons and property in the County.

The previously-appropriated 2017 Sewer Backup program budget will not cover the cleaning and claim costs associated with the rain events that have already occurred in 2017 and are not anticipated to be sufficient to address further repeated occurrences of these natural disasters throughout the remainder of calendar year 2017.
