Neighborhood Stabilization Program - NSP 1 and NSP 2

NSP 2 Application

Hamilton County is applying for Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 funds, made available under the Notice of Funding Availability issued by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on May 4, 2009.  The County is the lead agency for a Consortium composed of the County's Community Development Department, the City of Cincinnati Department of Community Development, the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Model Group.  The deadline for submission of this competitive application is July 17, 2009, and the 10 day public comment period runs from July 5, 2009 to July 15, 2009.  Persons who would like more information about the application, or who would like to make comments, should notify the County's Community Development Office at 138 E. In addition to the funding listed above, the Cincinnati-Hamilton County NSP2 Consortium is working with the National Community Stabilization Trust (NCST) to obtain financing to assist in these and other Neighborhood Stabilization projects.  NCST's website (www.stabilizationtrust.com) provides further information.


NSP 1 Program Information

To view Hamilton County's Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated Plan, please click here. This amendment details the guidelines proposed for Hamilton County's Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding.  The comment period for this amendment has now expired.  The Substantial Amendment was submitted to HUD on November 26, 2008 and the grant was approved and executed in March 2009.  The program is now underway.
