For the purposes of Hamilton County's Small Business Program, a small business is a business concern that is independently owned and operated and which meets the detailed definitions or size standards established by the Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA). If your business meets the criteria for a small business (regardless of whether it has been certified) and you are interested in registering with the County's Program, please send the completed, signed, dated and notarized original Small Business Profile to us along with copies of your company's certificate(s) or letter(s) of certification, if any.

Registered small businesses get direct notice of outreach events designed to provide a better understanding of how Hamilton County makes purchases. In addition, their information is included in a database that is distributed to County purchasing agents on a monthly basis.  All are encouraged to use small businesses.

Small Business Profiles are usually processed within two weeks.  Once your profile is processed, your registration will be for a two-year term.  Please contact us if you need assistance or have any questions or concerns.
