Storm Water Drainage System (SDS)

Planning + Development - Storm Water Drainage System (SDS) regulates, reviews, and approves storm water management for all new development in the unincorporated areas of Hamilton County.

We also review and inspect Hamilton County Storm Waters & District, Post-Construction Regulations and Stream Corridor Regulations in all unincorporated areas and selected municipalities within Hamilton County.

The Storm Water Drainage System Regulations was issued by the Board of County Commissioners on January 1, 1974 and revised on August 17, 1996 and on January 17, 2007.

Flood Damage Prevention Regulations were adopted by the commissioners in 1982 and Earthwork Regulations and Enforcement have been in effect since November 1, 1990.

Steps for Printing an Official SDS Approval

  1. Go to the ezTrak Website at http://cagis.hamilton-co.org/opal/  

  2. Arrow down Quick Search to the Building Permit #

  3. Type the Planning & Development - Storm Water Drainage System (SDS) Project Number. (Shown on our Letter of Transmittal returned with the plans to be revised)

  4. Print the Official Storm Water Drainage System (SDS) Approval for you records.
