Government Reform Task Force

Mission Statement

The Hamilton County Government Reform Task Force is charged with determining whether alternative forms of operating county government and providing the full range of public services needed by the people of Hamilton County and mandate by law are better suited to, and more efficient and economical, than existing structures. The task force has been given the responsibility of reporting back to the Board of County Commissioners with recommendations that reflect a consensus of its members so that the Board may convene public hearings on the subject and determine whether or not to advance the recommendations to the ballot in November 2010.

The task force recommendations for an alternative Hamilton County government structure shall be within the scope of those permitted by the Ohio Revised Code in Chapters 301, 302, 305 and 307.
