It is important to recognize that storm water is a natural resource and a part of the hydrologic cycle.  Stormwater is needed to maintain soil moisture and the plants that require this water.  Storm water is needed to replenishes our aquifers and drinking water resources.

Conventional handling of storm via channels, pipes, conduits and drains that rapidly move water away from a site cuts off these vital functions.

“Transpiration” is the process by which water vapor escapes from a living plant, principally through the leaves, and enters the atmosphere.
