The Built Environment: How To Stimulate Re-development AND Promote Healthy Communities
On November 8th, at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Corryville, the last presentation in the Sustainable Greater Cincinnati Reinventing Our Communities Series took place. The event congregated over 90 people including elected and appointed officials, planners, and other individuals affiliated with CDCs, financial institutions, educational and health organizations. Professor Daniel Rodriguez from the University of North Carolina, made a compelling case about the effect of the built environment and urban functions in the health of the populations. Other presenters were Andre Aiello from TANK, and a local panel that included Emi Randall from OKI, Rebecca Stowe from Hamilton County Health, Sagar Shah from the University of Cincinnati.
