Information Systems 2 $100,000 SAVINGS Developed a new printing and mailing process for sending out Child Care Vouchers. The new process eliminated special order forms and bursting the forms, and modified the envelope stuffing process. A new double-sided, one page form was designed that eliminated a three-part form. Before 75% of recipients received multiple vouchers which were sent to the recipient in separate envelopes. Now recipients receiving multiple vouchers receive them in one envelope. A majority of the savings is due to postage reduction. Consumers like the new process better because they don't have to track multiple items in the mail and the carbonless forms are easier to manage than the previous three-part forms. This provided efficiency for the child care consumers. |
