| Job Function Statement: |
| Under general supervision, performs various clerical and administrative tasks related to recording registered and unregistered land documents, indexes and retrieves documents, may take in documents at counter and process accordingly; answers routine questions from general public. |

| Minimum Qualifications: |
| High School Diploma or GED and experience which indicates a basic knowledge of registered and unregistered land requirements and standard office procedures. |

| Illustrative Duties: |
| 50% (1) Indexes documents, plats, certificates and other registered and unregistered land records into established filing system; retrieves documents; utilizes microfilm viewer to research and compile data; may assist employees in Recorder’s Office due to work load or absence. 15% (2) Takes in documents at counter and reviews/approves papers prior to transfer; cancels outdated certificates and sends new certificates to appropriate party; copies documents and performs various other processing tasks as relates to data entry and preparation of documents for imaging. 20% (3) Answers questions and provides information related to registered and unregistered land requirements and procedures of a routine nature; maintains contact with attorneys, title company representatives, general public and others. 10% (4) Receives monies, issues receipts and balances cash register on a scheduled basis. 5% (5) Notifies proper authority of inventory supply level needs. |
