The costs of energy are squeezing many Hamilton County families. But there are ways to save. And if you have been disconnected, there are answers.
For ALL residents and customers, Duke Energy offers numerous ways to reduce what your family pays for home energy costs. To get more information on how to save money and invest in energy efficient home products and solutions in your home, go to "Save Now" (Duke Energy)
For households (4-family) making less than $35,000 per year who are in disconnect status, or have been disconnected, the Home Energy Assistance Program provides one-time emergency assistance with utility bills. Individuals applying for the benefit must sign up for a payment plan to assist with future bills. Individuals seeking the benefit can schedule appointments by calling the Community Action Agency at 569-1850. Appointments take place Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
