Get help for seniors

Seniors in our community are feeling the effects of today’s economy. Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio (COA) is a resource for seniors, their families and caregivers. As the Area Agency on Aging for Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties, COA serves no special interest or business other than its mission to help seniors live safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

During these difficult times, some of the ways COA can help include:

• Free or low-cost in-home care (housekeeping, personal care, Meals on Wheels, transportation and more)
• Free training and support for family caregivers
• Home repairs and modifications
• Free consultations to plan for long-term care needs
• Help applying for utility assistance
• Help in selecting and enrolling in Medicare plans

COA also offers a training program and employment assistance for people who are interested in a career in the home health field.
