Lt. Brandon J. Corcoran appointed Hamilton County Dog Warden

Hamilton County Commissioners appointed Lt. Brandon J. Corcoran to serve as Hamilton County Dog Warden. Corcoran replaces Harold F. Dates who is retiring.

Lieutenant Corcoran has been employed by the SPCA for the last 20 years during which time he has taken increasing responsibility for dog warden operations, including supervising deputy wardens and managing public inquiries related to animal control.

Todd Portune, President of the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners said, "We are proud to appoint Lt. Corcoran to the position of County Dog Warden. He brings a wealth of experience, a demonstrated commitment to the office and compassion toward the treatment and care of animals throughout all of Hamilton County. He is the first and best person for the position."

"I would like to thank Harold for his many years of dedication and service to our community and wish him the very best in his retirement. And welcome Brandon as our new Dog Warden. I look forward to working with him," said Commissioner Chris Monzel.

Commissioner Denise Driehaus stated, "The humane treatment of animals is important to the citizens of Hamilton County and will be the top priority for Dog Warden Corcoran."

The Board of County Commissioners maintains a contract with the Hamilton County SPCA to provide dog warden services.
