Commissioners Appoint Members to County's First Commission on Women and Girls
The Board of County Commissioners appointed 20 members and 10
students to the newly created Hamilton County Commission on Women and Girls. This is the first Commission
appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to promote the economic prospects of women, encourage
women to attain positions of leadership and empower girls to grow into fulfilled adults.
"The work of the Commission to identify barriers to the success of women and girls and to promote strategies to
conquer those barriers is especially relevant today. I am looking forward to working with this impressive group of
women and girls and share their enthusiasm to get started," said Denise Driehaus, Vice President, Board of County
Commissioners.
