Purpose:
To study the impact of rising sewer rates on ratepayers in Hamilton County, and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on potential rate structure and/or policy changes that can mitigate or otherwise affect the impact of these rates, as well as encourage the conservation of water.
Establishing Authority:
A resolution adopted by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) of Hamilton County, Ohio, March 18, 2015.
Composition:
Eighteen (18) members appointed from
the following entities: Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors,
Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency,
Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, Communities United for Action,
Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio, Greater
Cincinnati Building Owners & Managers Association,
Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Apartment
Association, Hamilton County Municipal League, Hamiton County Township
Association,
Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati, Sierra
Club, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, United Way 211, and two Hamilton
County at-large members.
The BOCC will appoint an individual to serve as
chair of the Committee.
