The Office of Budget and Strategic Initiatives is charged with developing and monitoring the Hamilton County budget as well as providing policy review and analysis support to the County Administrator and the Board of County Commissioners. Our success is measured by developing and monitoring balanced budgets that address policy priorities in a fiscally responsible manner.
The Office of Budget and Strategic Initiatives supports significant multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional initiatives affecting county government. The office currently provides support to the Tax Levy Review Committee and is engaged with the riverfront development efforts.
The Office of Budget and Strategic Initiatives is responsible for the review of departmental budget requests and preparing the County Administrator's recommendation for submission to the Board of County Commissioners. The division reviews departmental requests for transfers and supplemental appropriations throughout the year, assists departments in monitoring budget activity and completes a variety of special projects throughout the year for the County Administrator and the Board of County Commissioners.
