Planning + Development Stormwater Drainage System (SDS) reviews, approves, and inspects all new developments for storm water management and floodplain management requirements in the unincorporated areas of Hamilton County.

Planning + Development Water Supply regulates water line installation thru the Petition Process within the unincorporated areas of Hamilton County.

Planning + Development Field Operations installs and repairs fire hydrants, storm sewers, and investigates storm water drainage concerns within the unincorporated County limits.

Stormwater + Infrastructure is comprised of the following sections:

Field Operations
  • Investigates storm water drainage problems
  • Snow removal for county facilities
  • Repair and replace public storm sewers and fire hydrants
Floodplain Management
  • Examines and reviews construction documents
  • Conduct field investigation
  • Enforce the Flood Plain Management Rules and Regulations
Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Create and maintain the Special Flood Hazard Area, Storm Sewers, and Storm Water Detention Geodatabases
  • Utilizes the Cincinnati Area Geographic Information System (CAGIS)
Storm Water
  • Regulates, reviews, and approves storm water management
  • Review and inspect Hamilton County Storm Waters & District, Post-Construction Regulations and Stream Corridor Regulations
