Jurisdictional Areas

Depending on your project’s location, you may be required to plan for how storm water runoff will be controlled, what erosion control strategies will be used during construction, and how the buildings will be designed to meet floodplain regulations.

Planning and Development staff reviews storm drainage plans in all Hamilton County townships and many municipalities. The remaining cities and villages either have their own regulations, or work with private engineers for plan review. You will need to contact these communities directly for information about drainage and erosion control plans. A Predevelopment Meeting with our staff is highly recommended to determine exactly what storm water and earthwork regulations will affect your project.
